What about the 2 cent stamp?

Have you seen Fargo? Remember when the Sargent and her husband were watching TV in their bed and discussing the excitement of her husbands artwork being picked for the 2 cent stamp? Well as of about May of this year his stamp won't be needed anymore. The United States Post Office is planning raising the price of a first class stamp to 41 cents but on the bright side they will be releasing the "Forever Stamp". This will be a benefit for brides sending out invitations because the 41-cent rate is for the first ounce, but each additional ounce will cost 17 cents, down from the current 24 cents. So I do have to say I am a little annoyed because when the cute "hershey kiss" stamp came out awhile ago I bought all the sheets which was about 150 stamps. So I guess Mr. Fargo's stamp will be used by me for a little while anyways....

I met Wonder Woman

My next blog I promise to tell you all about the amazing event fundraiser with Florence Crittenton but I do have to mention that I got the chance to hand with their Keynote Speaker...Mrs. Lynda Carter aka Wonder Woman. She was so nice and to my surprise very tall. Seeing that her show seemed so long ago I was surprised on how beautiful and youthful she looked. Did you know that she is half Mexican? I had no idea, but being a half myself I was so "power to the people". Thanks Lynda for your commitment to the community and it was great to meet you!

Friends in the Biz

The wedding industry can be so complicated and competative and I have to say that it's so nice to be involved in a network where there is a sense of camaraderie. I bring that up because today I had the pleasure of spending hours and hours getting to know vendors that I work with within Two Be Wed even better. We all discussed our passion for weddings and events and explained what made each of us unique individuals with in this market. It was so refreshing to hear the excitement of their crafts and how eager everyone was to share that we all wanted to be there...we all had a desire to take this industry to the next level and ultimately we all (bottom line) were there to make our clients feel like it truly was the best day of their lives. Thank you to all at Two Be Wed, heck thanks to all the vendors that live and breath weddings and events. Thank you for your dedication and your professionalism. Let's all strive to make Arizona weddings the best in the states....nah...the world. :)

Just a few of our many talented.

25 Years of Bliss

Krystal, Lead Consultant, and I had the opportunity to throw a small 25th aniversary party for Mr. Chuck and Mrs. Della Lubin this past weekend. It was such an moving evening filled with toasts, tears and sweet music. Family and friends flew in from all over the country to be with the couple to celebrate. The festivites were held at the quaint Power Ranch Club House in Gilbert. Delicous food was prepared and severed by El Zocalo Fine Mexican Food.

Upon the annoncement of their arrival they danced to "Strangers in the Night" where Della and Chuck emotionally held each other. When the band leader Freddie Duran asked Chuck what was the secret of his 25 years of bliss Chuck said it was "My Best Friend, Della." (and the crowd goes....aaaahhh)

Their amazing "Mad Hatter" cake was so tasty was provided by the talented La Dolce Pesca which Della was very eager to try.

Thank you to Chuck, Della and their families for believing in us and trusting us with such a precious and special event. Congrats on 25 years and we toast to 25 more.
