In the heed of this economy, many couples are looking to cut out line items and it seems that the guest favors are getting the boot. Let's face it, they are the most easily expendable line item on the wedding budget.
My thoughts are this; if you can’t eat it, experience it or donate it, then get rid of it.
If you are really adamant about having a favor for your guests think about other ways to give besides a dust collector. What about giving your guests an experience at the wedding? Hire a caricaturist to draw cartoon faces of your guests, build a s'mores station so the non-dancers take involvement, or open up an “art gallery” type display of childhood memories of you and your fiancee. These alternatives to a favor give guests an experience which is better than a gift they have to dust.

I totally agree! I'm tired of getting those little picture frames I end up throwing out the next week.
Another cool wedding favor I've seen are flipbooks. Basically it is a book that you flip through that shows an animation. Your guests can make their own at their wedding. Very unique and people love it.
PS Love the blog.
Well very nice.I love your wedding... I almost cried when I saw the wedding ring. I wish you both a lifetime and beyond of love.
